She knew what was missing — because she had been looking for it her whole life.

My name is Elin.

I was born in Australia, raised in a home that believed in two things above almost everything else — taking care of yourself, and taking care of the people you love. From a young age, I was drawn to fashion and beauty — not because of how they looked, but because of how they made you feel.

I saw how the right piece could change the way a woman carried herself. Not louder. Not different. Just more herself.

As I grew older and eventually moved to the United States, that fascination deepened — but so did the frustration.

No matter where I looked — boutiques in Australia, online stores in the U.S., or gifts for women I loved — I kept running into the same problem:

Products that looked beautiful but felt disappointing.
Brands that sounded polished but felt distant.
Stores that sold everything — but stood for nothing.

I wanted something more honest. More thoughtful. More real.

At first, I kept searching.

Then I stopped.

And decided to build it.

Why Laylace Exists

The name Laylace carries two feelings that have always meant something to me — the softness of lace, and the quiet moment of laying something beautiful down at the end of a long day.

Something comfortable.
Something personal.
Something that asks nothing from you — except to enjoy it.

That is the feeling Laylace was built around.
